When and How to Plant Indoor Bulbs

Amaryllis and paperwhite bulbs may be planted immediately on arrival. If you wish to delay flowering, you can store the bulbs in a cool, dark place away from heat and freezing temperatures. Open the paper bags and check the bulbs occasionally to make sure they have not started to sprout. Once they do, the bulbs should be planted immediately. For best results, plant amaryllis and paperwhite bulbs no later than the end of December.
